Karate — International Achievement

A particularly proud moment came when young karate prodigy Jodhbir Singh demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship at the 9th Indo-Nepal IWKA International Karate Championship 2026, organised by the IWKA and South Asian Wado Ryu Karate Federation. He secured First Position in his category, bringing distinction to the school at the international level.

Gatka — Zonal and District Success

Harsimranpreet Kaur, Class XI Medical, secured First Position at the Zonal Level in Gatka and earned selection for the District-Level Competition.

Adding further glory to the school’s Gatka achievements, Rohandeep Singh and Prabir Singh, representing the U-19 Fari Soti Team, secured Third Place at the District Level.

Taekwondo — A Strong Medal-winning Performance

SGHI students continued to excel in Taekwondo.

At the School District Games, Sehreen Kaur, Class IX, won a Gold Medal in Under-17 Girls Taekwondo, while Prabhleen Kaur and Chahatnoor Kaur secured Runner-Up positions.

At the District-Level Taekwondo Competition, Manatpreet Kaur, Class XI Commerce, won a Gold Medal on 27 August 2026. Harsirat Kaur, Class XII Non-Medical, also secured Gold in the 68 kg category.

Lawn Tennis — District-Level Recognition

In Lawn Tennis, Avneet Kaur, Class XI, secured Third Position at the Amritsar District Level, adding another accomplishment to the school’s growing record of sporting excellence.

The Class XII Medical Batch of 2026 recorded a particularly proud achievement, with three students securing admission to prestigious MBBS programmes across Punjab.
